Community Service Project:

Each year, students at Plympton School collect money to support a charity in the part of the world we are studying. During the 2016-7 year, students decided to support a charity benefiting Haiti to help following the devastation of Hurricane Matthew in September. Students in grade 5 met with one of our library volunteers from Brandeis University to learn about some of the charities helping in this country. They chose three to present to the students in our school, and in November, students in grades 2 to 5 voted to support the group Be Like Brit. Students will be creating coin banks in art class and coins they collect will be used to help the work of this charity. Starting in February, weekly totals of money collected will be posted here!
